Last of the Elf Sightings

Alas the Elf has left us this year. But I thought I would share with you the last few of his visits.
Elfy built us a gingerbread house to decorate. Which was a blast to decorate with Savannah.
The next day Savannah was well lets just say it was a bad day for her. So that night Elfy helped remind her that she needed to be a good girl for Santa.

Since the end of Elfys stay was coming near he wanted to spend some extra time with Ariel. I think he has a crush on her. But if course it could never work since Elfy does not like water.

On Elfys last day he left the girls a present. It was a snowy book of winter stories. How nice of him to add one more book to our collection that we can read every night.

We had a great time with Elfy Phillip this year and the girls can't wait to see him next year.
Merry Christmas!!

Elf Sightings

Is it getting crazy for anyone else out there as the C day draws near. I swear the days from Nov 25 to Dec 25 shorten each day by an hour.
Anyway I wanted to up date you on Elfy Phillip. By the way if you haven't figured it out the reason he is called Elfy Phillip, it is because he is named after Prince Phillip from The Little Mermaid. What can I say I live with 2 lil girls that love the Princesses.
Anywhoo back to the Elf.

He invaded my sacred space, my scrapbook room. Well its not really a room but it works. At least he was good while he was in here. It took Savannah a long time to find him.

The next night I guess he got lonely so he came to check up on mom and dad, and hang around in our room. Even Elfy likes the kid free zone every once in a while.

Always the bridesmaid but never the bride. Elfy really liked our wedding photos.

Elfy must have been to tired to fly back to Santas workshop on his own because he hitched a ride on Dads FA-18.

Talk about a sweet tooth, Elfy not only got some candy he crawled in the candy bowl and hung out.
All work and no play causes tempers to rise in our house. For the Elf and the Barbies it was no exception. I got pinged in the head twice from a stray marsh mellow during their "snowball fight".

I will keep you updated in a few days with some more sightings. Until then watch out, the Elf is watching.

Elf Sighting

Sorry as Christmas draws near my nights get a lil crazier. But just because I have not been posting does not mean the elf has not been up to mischief.
Here is the recap of the last few days.
Elfy decided to go on a joy ride to pick up some pine cones. I guess of you are an elf you don't need reindeer, hee hee.

I guess he must miss the snow since he decided to make a mess on my counter making snow angels. Then Savannah decided to have a snowball fight with him and buried him in snow. One point Savannah.

Not sure if Elfy is hungry or just trying to scare Sara into potty training. Either way this was a big hit.

I cant wait to see what Elfy does next.
Till next time, God Bless,
Kat

Elf Sighting

Elfy and I have something in common. We both life the Little Mermaid. Well Elfy just might like her a bit more than I do.

I missed a day of antics with the elf so here is a glimpse of what he was up to yesterday.

Evidently he wrote on the mirror and drew a mustache so who ever looks in the mirror gets a extra surprise.

Till next time.

Sunday 7

So I started sitting down every Sunday and doing a list of 7 things that I wanted to over shadow my week. Some were tasks others were reminders of what we should be doing in our everyday lifes.
To read more about it see my first post here.
After while I have relized that while I like making the list and it helps very much to keep me focused. I needed it where I can see it all the time. So I made up this printable that I can print out and not only keep the list of what I want to see this week but also what I have accomplished last week.
Of course I am going to share it with you as well.
So here you go. I would love to here how many of you are doing this, and how it has changed your life.

Elf Sighting

That sneaky elf hid in the family pictures going down the hall way. We almost didnt find him. Does this mean he wants his picture on the wall since he is one of the family.

The Elf is back

I love the holidays, even more thanks to my sister-in-law I love it even more. Why because she got us the elf on the shelf. The first year Savannah wasn't to impressed she was just to young, last year she loved finding him. This year he "Elfy Phillip" is going to add in some new twists. This year he is going to get bored and get into mischief. So check in each day and see what he is up to.
Today he made his first appearance at the kitchen table. He gathered all the Turkeys that we had made and had a party. He also left the girls a note to get them started and let them know what to expect.

Lots of fun.

See you tomorrow.

Give Thanks Board for Thanksgiving

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving I wanted to show you what I have been up to for this month. I am sorry I didn't get this posted till right before Thanksgiving. Although it will give you something to work on for next year. I first saw this idea on Pinterest, yes I am an addict. Anyway she used a actual board and I didn't want to go to that much trouble so I used scrap booking paper. That way it will be easier for us to take down and move with. Since we are military we move a lot.
This is what it looks like
And yes I know my candle holders are crooked. It the wall, you have to love government housing. I fix it and after a few fly overs from the FA 18's they become crooked again.
This was a easy project of course I used my Pazzles for most of the work. Like the envelope pouches and the lettering. I am going to include a link to the envelope file for the Pazzles at the end of this post.
So first I cut out the envelopes, I chose to use multiple patterns in the same color scheme as the lettering at the top.

After scoring and gluing I had the whole stack done. Did I mention I love my Pazzles. It makes life easy.

I randomly lay ed them out and glued them to the scrapbook paper I chose for the background.
Then I added the tittle at the top, numbered them and added a few embellishments to each envelope.

A tada...done well except for the inserts. Which I just cut out some from card stock. Edged them with different color ink and then added our thanks.

So I made each card so that for each day for a few years we will be able to add the things that each family member is thankful for that day. This way when we look back we can see how our children and us have matured in our thanksgiving. And quite honestly some of the answers from the girls are down right funny. On the first night Savannah said she was thankful for flying unicorns. She watched mommies She-ra movies earlier that day. Gosh I miss those cartoons.
Anyway have fun and I would love to see what uniqueness you add to this project or even just hear some of your ideas.
Click Here for the Pazzle files I used. Please use them for your own use, Thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Preschool pics

The school is doing thier school pics this week, but since Savannah does not go to school full time I thought instead of paying them, me her mom who is a photographer can take her school picture right. Well we got it but it took a lot of prompting on my part to get her to do it. You would think since I have been snapping away at her since birth that she would be used to this but no she still has to warm up to the camera. Which is fine its fun and keeps me in practice for any client that might have a shy child as well.
Anyway so here it is, her school picture. Done on the back porch with our outside easel and some chalk.

Project 365

This has really been hard for me. Not that I don't take at least one pic a day but I don't find time to work on them and the vision that I had when I took them kind of fades so they get less important in the daily craziness that goes on in this house. But I did do these that I want to share with you. It is of the girls in my studio, wow it had been a long time since I had put them in there.
But we had fun then I played in photoshop for a while with a few new filters, and well you see. let me know what you think.
They are just to cute sometimes.

Sunday 7

Its Sunday again, wow does time fly faster as the holidays get closer. Eek I think so.
So since last week guess what.........
I got to scrapbook. Yea me. Its only been on my Sunday 7 list for oh about 3 weeks now. Oh well it was great even Sara and Savannah did some scrap booking right at my feet. Savannah loves anything crafty, yep she is my daughter.

I have done really well on the Bible study each day, which thanks to my new ipad"thank you hubby" makes it really nice. I still have yet to work on verses. I did make up the cards for me and hubby, "don't worry almost ready to post that one". We concluded our drawing at Loopy ladies and now have a new banner, yea!!! I have 2 more holiday knits to put up on Loopy Ladies, double yea!! Did the budget and got some scrapbooking done. I still need that pedi but 1 out of 2 for me is good.
Ok so this week..

  1. Faith -Get those key verses at least written out on cards
  2. Family - I have a family reunion this coming weekend so I have tons of stuff to do and looking forward to seeing all these wonderful people again.
  3. Relationships -Since my family is going to the reunion as well I think I might have both subjects covered.
