Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving I wanted to show you what I have been up to for this month. I am sorry I didn't get this posted till right before Thanksgiving. Although it will give you something to work on for next year. I first saw this idea on Pinterest, yes I am an addict. Anyway she used a actual board and I didn't want to go to that much trouble so I used scrap booking paper. That way it will be easier for us to take down and move with. Since we are military we move a lot.
This is what it looks like
And yes I know my candle holders are crooked. It the wall, you have to love government housing. I fix it and after a few fly overs from the FA 18's they become crooked again.
This was a easy project of course I used my Pazzles for most of the work. Like the envelope pouches and the lettering. I am going to include a link to the envelope file for the Pazzles at the end of this post.
So first I cut out the envelopes, I chose to use multiple patterns in the same color scheme as the lettering at the top.
After scoring and gluing I had the whole stack done. Did I mention I love my Pazzles. It makes life easy.
I randomly lay ed them out and glued them to the scrapbook paper I chose for the background.
Then I added the tittle at the top, numbered them and added a few embellishments to each envelope.
A tada...done well except for the inserts. Which I just cut out some from card stock. Edged them with different color ink and then added our thanks.
So I made each card so that for each day for a few years we will be able to add the things that each family member is thankful for that day. This way when we look back we can see how our children and us have matured in our thanksgiving. And quite honestly some of the answers from the girls are down right funny. On the first night Savannah said she was thankful for flying unicorns. She watched mommies She-ra movies earlier that day. Gosh I miss those cartoons.
Anyway have fun and I would love to see what uniqueness you add to this project or even just hear some of your ideas.

Happy Thanksgiving.
